From the moment (maybe even before) we are born we are learning. Our Conscious and subconscious mind is taking in information and storing it for recollection. It attaches different emotions for use later in life, as and when we need them. We learn how to behave, what the boundaries are or what we can and cannot do around others. We learn to adapt to situations, creating our fears, habits and behaviours based on our experiences. These fears, habits and emotions are intended to serve a positive useful purpose.

Appropriate fear can keep us safe from danger or make us cautious in certain situations. Good habits can keep us on track and give us a sense of order and structure. Good behaviours can create good friendships, gain healthy respect from others. All these things help us live a balanced, happy healthy life.
Now, although all of the above may be true, it doesn’t always quite work out that way.

For example the wrong emotion may have been attached to an experience that may have been useful or appropriate at the time, but is causing a problem in the present day. Sometimes it’s not the memory or event, but the perception of the event, which may not even be correct. In hypnosis we sometimes look at the event from an adult’s perspective can let go of or change the negative emotion attached to it, empowering the child, letting go of fear or sadness even clarifying an emotion. The knock on effect, changes the present day behaviour or at a deeper level a self belief system to a more positive one.

When you have a negative perception or feeling about something, someone or about yourself, your world acts accordingly. Change the feeling or self belief to something more positive, then you will act and react differently, and your world acts accordingly. People come out of negative relationships and get into supportive relationships. Some people get on better others and/or repair damaged relationships. Or life is just better; they feel at ease with themselves.

Hypnosis is a powerful way to change how you perceive and feel about your world. The more relaxed you are the better you are in stressful situations.
